Late-night horror in Valencia after Peruvian man is stabbed to death by a woman on bar terrace

A 45-YEAR-OLD Peruvian man has died after being stabbed by a woman on the terrace of a late-night bar in Valencia.

The fatal attack happened shortly before midnight on Saturday on a street just off Avenida del Cid, close to the city’s General Hospital.

Officers from the Policia Nacional rushed to the scene near 22 y Punto bar after receiving reports of a stabbing in the street.

But by the time the officers arrived, the alleged attacker had already fled the scene.

However, police quickly identified her home address and visited the property.

She was subsequently arrested as she was leaving the building, reportedly with blood still visible on her hands. 

A murder investigation is now underway, with the circumstances leading up to the stabbing and the relationship between the victim and alleged perpetrator currently unclear.

22 y Punto bar was back open as usual on Sunday morning after staff had cleaned away traces of blood left following the attack.
