A MAN was snatched off the streets and bundled into a car in a suspected broad-daylight kidnapping in Marbella.

Shocking video shows two men forcing the victim into a black Mercedes CLA with a German plate number in the Nueva Andalucia area on Friday.

The man was later dumped at a local petrol station where officers found in him good health, police sources have told Malaga Hoy.

The case is being investigated by the Policia Nacional’s organised crime unit, the UDYCO, which is working to establish exactly what happened and who was behind it.

No arrests have yet been made.

Police believe at least three people were involved in the kidnapping and that they used a fake or cloned number plate to make the vehicle harder to trace, El Español reported, citing sources.

The dramatic incident comes amid a spate of violent attacks across the Costa del Sol, including a fatal shooting in Malaga in mid-September in which a 20-year-old man was reportedly killed after being mistaken for someone else.

Another man was shot in the face while eating at a packed restaurant at Malaga’s Muelle Uno last week, with authorities investigating a possible clash between rival drug-trafficking gangs.

The victim was later identified as 47-year-old Turkish national Ümit Yalçin, a prominent Fenerbahçe ultra who has also been linked to organised crime investigations in Turkey.

A separate shooting in Marbella earlier this month left a Dutch man injured and saw three people arrested.

The provincial government’s representative said the initial hypothesis was a dispute between drug-trafficking gangs.

The latest incident also comes as police step up their presence in Malaga following the recent spate of violence.

Policia Nacional have launched additional checks at various points around the city as part of efforts to combat organised crime and other offences, although officials have declined to say how many extra officers are being deployed.

Police have not revealed the identity of the Marbella victim or said whether the suspected kidnapping was linked to the recent wave of gang-related violence.
