AN 18-year-old Swedish national has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a leading cosmetic surgeon inside his own clinic, police say.
Dr Alexander Aslani, the founder and owner of the specialist Cirumed Clinic in Marbella, was killed on Wednesday evening after a masked attacker burst into the building and opened fire.
The German national suffered multiple bullet wounds to the head.
Dr Aslani, 57, had been practising on the Costa del Sol for almost 20 years, with a client list that was ‘70% from the UK’, according to a 2021 libel case.

But his life was snuffed out a little before 6pm on Wednesday, when a hooded gunman dressed all in black stalked into his surgery, located in the Real Panorama urbanisation on the eastern entrance to Marbella.
The hitman calmly took aim and opened fire, shooting Dr Aslani in the head several times.
Paramedics rushed to the scene, but they could not stabilise him and he died.
Police made an arrest on Thursday afternoon of an 18-year-old male in connection with the murder.
The case is currently sealed, meaning official sources are unlikely to provide more information.
