British woman robbed in Benidorm

A 61-year-old British woman endured a seven-hour ordeal after being held captive in her Benidorm apartment.

The gang beat the woman and forced her to hand over keys to the jewellers where she worked.

The robbers were later caught with 300,000 euros in gold from the jewellers in their car.

The Civil Guard said: “This gang was very professional. We believe they were watching the shop.”
