QR codes introduced as a tourism tool on the Costa del Sol

TOURISTS looking for information about beauty spots and cultural venues on the Costa del Sol are to benefit from a new ‘quick response’ coding scheme.

Visitors with Smartphone or Android devices will be able to receive instant information by scanning QR codes placed at beaches and other hotspots in Marbella and San Pedro.

The codes are capable of storing text, phone numbers and email addresses and allow tourists to access special offers from local businesses.
