SPANISH police have launched a manhunt for a Moroccan party promoter accused of organising an event in Torremolinos with a shockingly homophobic entry policy.
The whereabouts of the promoter, who is wanted on hate crime charges, remain unknown, with the Policia Nacional and Guardia Civil launching a nationwide manhunt to track him down and bring him before the courts.
The party, which was due to take place in January 2025, declared that ‘no fights, drugs, flip-flops or *******’ using an offensive Spanish slur to refer to homosexuals.

The homophobic entry policy was shared by the promoter on social media, provoking outrage in Torremolinos, the Costa del Sol resort famed for its thriving LGBTQ+ scene and for opening Spain’s first gay bar in 1962.
Torremolinos mayor Margarita del Cid publicly denounced the event, prompting the accused promoter to respond with a string of insults in a private message and threaten to move the party to nearby Malaga.
Ultimately, amid widespread opposition, the party did not go ahead.
The Moroccan national is wanted on hate crime charges with the prosecution requesting a two year prison sentence.
In addition to a prison sentence, prosecutors are seeking to ban the promoter from organising events for the same period and issue a fine of €5,700.
The promoter’s whereabouts are unknown with authorities attempting to track him down.
