AT least two people have been killed by the flash floods wreaking havoc on Mallorca.

The latest victim is an as of yet unidentified woman who drowned in Sant Llorenc.

It comes after another elderly man was found dead after water gushed into his basement and took him off guard.

At least 20 others are missing as the rainfall continues to batter the Balearic isle.

Meanwhile, 80 army troops have been called in to assist in the rescue operation.

All available Guardia Civil units are now rushing to the worst hit zones.

At least one rescue helicopter has also been scrambled.

Around 220 litres of rain per square metre is believed to have fallen since 7pm.
