NERJA’S El Playazo beach is set for a million-euro revamp.

The mayor of Nerja, Jose Armjo, has announced a total of €1,019,000 has been put aside for improvements to the town’s beach area.

The Ministry of Environment have fronted €800,000 to regenerate El Playazo and perform actions related to adaptation to climate change and regeneration of the beach.

While Malaga Council have provided €219,000 for the construction of two bridges over the rio Chillar and the rio Seco near El Playazo.
