“New city” set for Malaga

by

ONE of the country’s biggest housing developers is planning 70,000 new homes next to Malaga’s technology park.

Martinsa-Fadesa has designed plans for the macro-development just 20 kilometres from the centre of the capital of the Costa del Sol.

The project – which is twice the size of the province’s second city, Ronda – is not included in Malaga’s PGOU urban expansion plan, but it is expected to be presented to the city hall this month.

If given the green light, the six-million square metre development will also include green spaces and be built close to the Campanillas river.
