Holiday rental ratings shake-up

THE Junta has approved a new ratings system to grade holiday apartments in Spain.

Getaways will be categorized by type, quality and location, and rated from one to four based on their quality and the range of services offered.

Regional government spokesperson, Mar Morena, said that the law will have a “positive impact” on the sector by “clarifying” the situation for owners and “guaranteeing quality” for consumers.
