Cafe owner shot dead in Andalucia

A CAFÉ owner has been shot dead in Torremolinos.

The 55-year-old boss of Hermanos Velasco cafeteria in La Carihuela came under fire after intervening in an argument between a regular female client and a man.

It is believed the man left the café, on Calle Salvador Allende, only to return several minutes later armed with a gun before firing several shots.

Last weekend, Briton Dan Smith, 26, was shot dead while outside the Lounge Bar in Rivera del Sol.

The Torremolinos shooting is the seventh homicide on the Costa del Sol this year.

  1. This was a very nice man who made the best coffee in all of Spain. Lovely family who kept a clean and popular cafe, RIP I am so sorry about this dreadful thing.
