GOLFER Sergio Garcia has swapped his clubs for a football.

During a two-month break from his chosen sport, Garcia, 30, has made his debut at CF Borriol, where he is also club president.

Last week he fulfilled a lifetime ambition and played the last eight minutes of a match for his home team.

Rumours suggest he is likely to make more starts for the team this season.

Maybe this marks a career change for the former world number two who is vice-captain for the European Ryder Cup Team.

The tournament begins on October 1.
