Car scammers arrested

THIRTY-TWO people have been arrested for stealing a million euros worth of vehicles from five European countries to be sold on in Spain.

Twenty-five vehicles, all brand new or nearly new, were seized by the Policia National.

Most of those arrested are Spanish, Hungarian or Romanian and the group includes the alleged leader of the luxury car traffickers, who had even managed to obtain certificates saying that the cars had not been tampered with.
