Police – and weather – cuts crime in southern Spain

BENALMADENA town hall claims to have stamped out prostitution in the Solymar area thanks to a new night-time police patrol.

Less vandalism, fighting and drinking in the streets are other triumphs – although police admit it may be due to the change in season.
