New government for Gibraltar

GIBRALTARIANS were waking up to a new government this morning after the GSLP Liberal Alliance won a closely fought election campaign.

Fabian Picardo topped the poll ahead of Dr John Cortes and declared that “we will be a government for all of Gibraltar.”

The GSD and Peter Caruana leave office after 15 years in power, following a turnout of 82.52 per cent on the Rock.
