BUNGLING Mijas cops lost a fleeing fugitive because they couldn’t cough up the 3.20 euro toll fee quickly enough.
Mayor Angel Nozal has now requested the AP-7 levy be lifted for the emergency services, including fire engines.
He added that while Guardia Civil and ambulances are allowed through, apparently local police are not.
