A FORMER teacher has pleaded guilty to eight counts of sexual abuse.
Graham Hawkins admitted to the indecent assault charges, which relate to the abuse of a girl who was under 16 at the time of the offences, between 1983 and 1984.
Hawkins, who now lives in Derbyshire, was appearing before Bristol Crown Court and will be sentenced next month.
The 57-year-old worked as a teacher in Gibraltar for decades before moving back to the UK, although it is unclear at which school he was employed.

all I can say is …that Graham wad a fabulous Hockey Coach and took the Gib team to a level never attained before and was also a great fielder and hard hitting bat for our Sotogrande CRicket Team ! I still wonder why this should come up some 30 years later…. very odd…!

ad: The only odd thing here is a teacher noncing on an underage girl. A lot of dirt lies dormant for ages until victims raise the courage to speak up and throw off the shame.Which of course, they shouldn’t feel.

I know this guy. He was a P.E. teacher in my middle school. Anyway, absolutely disgusting! Whats worse is the cheap sentence he got 2 years! Apparently that’s the price of abusing a child. What a disgrace!
