Tolox mayor Juan Vera has been sentenced to a year in prison and an eight-year ban from office for issuing a licence for 17 two-storey homes on non-urbanisable land.

  1. Too brief. What were the licenses worth? Where did the money paid for the licenses go? Which party is he from? Which other politicos locally or in that party have been convicted or are in court? Were the homes built? Paid for? Who lives in them? What’s going to happen to them and why?
