Body found on Estepona beach

THE body of an elderly man has been found on a beach in Estepona.

The man, believed to be in his 60’s, was found at around 10am on Friday morning after his wife had reported him missing.

According to witnesses, the woman did not immediately realise her husband was missing as she assumed he had got out of the water and returned home.

“The man regularly went swimming with his wife and she just assumed he had gone home,” a worker at a nearby bar told the Olive Press.

“But after several hours of frantic searching she called the police and it was only then that they found his body.”
