GIBRALTAR’S pooches are in for a treat thanks to the arrival of canine toilets on the Rock.
The lavatories which will cost a staggering £20,000 mean dog owners will not have to clear up after their pets if they foul in designated zones.
This innovative Ministry for Environment scheme will place two facilities on Gibraltar, one at Europort Avenue and the other at Mid Harbours Estate.
It would be more beneficial to hand out free pooper scooper bags and pay for them with fines levied on irresponsible dog-owners. After all, you can take a dog to the toilet, but you can’t make it poop.
