BRITISH musicians are making soundwaves around the world.

UK artists account for a record one in seven of all albums sold around the globe, and in Spain that figure is as high as one in five, according to Music Market 2015.

From Ed Sheeran in Australia to Coldplay in the Netherlands, UK musicians are going down a treat.

In total, album and singles sales overseas generated a whopping €2.44 billion for the UK music industry.

In Spain the most popular records were One Direction’s Four and Meet the Vamps by the Vamps.

Meanwhile Paloma Faith is popular down under in Australia, London Grammar is a hit in France and Mika is popular with the Italians.

Currently breaking the USA is Sam Smith while AC/DC and Pink Floyd are ever popular in Germany.
