A BRITISH drug lord has been arrested in the UK after his face was splashed across giant billboards in Spain.

Anthony Dennis, 47, had been hiding out in Spain and was among 18 most wanted men targeted by Crimestoppers.

Dennis was picked up in London after he returned to his home country following the attention put on him by Operation Captura in Spain.

He stands accused of drug trafficking and conspiracy to import class A drugs.

Officers believe Dennis returned to the UK because his face was shown on 13ft billboards in Bernidorm, Malaga and Puerto Banus.

Dennis is the 69th person to be detained as part of Operation Captura.
