Tolox mayor starts prison sentence in Alhaurin de la Torre

IN a fall from grace, Tolox’s former mayor starts his prison sentence.

Juan Vera faces 15 months in Alhaurin de la Torre prison for urban planning crimes.

Not only can he not take public office for ten years but there are twelve outstanding crimes with sentences pending, all related to handing out licences which were not approved for development.
