Black Friday fever hits Spain as millions snap up pre-Christmas bargains

MILLIONS of Spaniards are hitting the shops – and their computers – to pick up Black Friday bargains.

The annual pre-Christmas discount extravanganza kicked off at midnight on Thursday, with many outlets extending the offer until Sunday.

This year it’s estimated Spaniards will splurge 1.17 billion, a 10.6% increase on 2014.

It is estimated that 6.4% of the country’s online sales will be made over the promotional period.
