Missing expat Amy Fitzpatrick stepdad Dave Mahon to be sentenced for killing stepson today

David Mahon

David-MahonTHE stepfather of missing expat Amy Fitzpatrick will be sentenced for the manslaughter of his stepson today.

Mahon was found guilty of manslaughter but cleared of murdering Dean Fitzpatrick last month.

In an original sentencing hearing, Mahon’s wife Audrey said she had ‘forgiven’ Dave for killing her stepson outside their Dublin home in May 2013.

The 45-year-old admitted holding the knife that killed him but claimed it was accident, and even suggested Dean wanted to walk onto the blade.

Dean’s sister Amy went missing from her Mijas home on New Year’s Day 2008.
