Brits could see their pension spending power affected by a Johnson premiership

brits abroadA LIST of genuine complaints made by British holidaymakers when abroad has been compiled on the twitter account @HolidayComplain.

From minature golf that was ‘too small’ to sand that was ‘too sandy’, it’s clear some Brits just aren’t getting what they were promised in the brochure.

Here are some of the best:

1) โ€œSpotting the visibly aroused elephant ruined my honeymoon in Thailand by making me feel inadequate.โ€

2) โ€œThe Fanta orange in Spain was a lot more Fanta-y than the Fanta at home.โ€

3) โ€œI think it should be explained in the brochure that the local store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts.โ€

4) โ€œYou said the town was next to a volcano, but we went and there was no lava. Iโ€™m pretty sure it was just a mountain.โ€

5) โ€œNo one told us there would be fish in the sea. The children were startled.โ€

6) โ€œMy fiancรฉ and I booked a twin-bedded room but we were placed in a double. Iโ€™m now pregnant.โ€

7) โ€œThe bottle of shampoo provided at the hotel was clearly meant for midgets.โ€

8) โ€œThere was a do not disturb sign on the back of my door in my room. I was confused and thought the staff had locked me in.โ€

9) โ€œThe maid who cleaned our room made our towel into a swan shape. I donโ€™t like swans.โ€

10) โ€œThey should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax.โ€

11) โ€œWhen they said the flight was 11 hours long we didnโ€™t think weโ€™d actually be sitting on an aeroplane for 11 hours.โ€

12) โ€œThe brochure said: No hairdressers at the resort. Weโ€™re trainee hairdressers and we think they knew it and made us wait longer for drinks.โ€

13) โ€œThe sand was too sandy.โ€

14) โ€œThe miniature golf was too small.โ€

15) โ€œOur jug of sangria didnโ€™t have a wide-ranging fruit selection in it.โ€

16) โ€œWe went to Turkey and there was far too many Turkish people for our liking.โ€

17) โ€œThe waiters were too nice so I felt obliged to tip them more and spent far more money than I would have liked.โ€

18) โ€œThe food was so cheap by the time we got home Iโ€™d put on half a stone.โ€

19) โ€œThe beach was full of kids making sand castles and noise. It was difficult to concentrate on my book.โ€

20) โ€œThe beans on my Full English definitely werenโ€™t Heinz.โ€
