Spain imports a million barrels of oil from Iran

rubbermarketnews_RMN_brent_crude_oil_050SPANISH oil giant Repsol has ordered one million barrels of oil from Iran.

The delivery, penned for July, is the latest in a string of European sales for the once pariah state.

Spain has become one of its largest importers.

Since the lifting of crippling sanctions in return for Iran halting its nuclear weapons programme, Iranian oil sales in Europe have increased by 500%.
