Emergency water tankers brought to Colmenar as hundreds of wells dry up

EMERGENCY water tankers have been drafted in to Colmenar to deal with limited supplies.

Town Mayor Jose Martin Garcia took the decision to buy in water tankers after a series of 300 metre wells in Colmenar ran dry.

It comes after residents slammed Garcia for unveiling a large swimming pool, despite warnings that thousands of residents could be cut off from water supplies.

The tankers are a temporary fix while the town hall works with the Junta to ensure a more stable water supply.
