CRIME SCENE: A squatter was arrested for trying to occupy this house where a British expat allegedly stabbed his wife to death

A SQUATTER has been arrested after breaking into the house where a British expat allegedly stabbed his wife to death.

British father Geoffrey Elton, 55, was arrested last month, accused of the brutal murder of his Spanish wife of 30 years Gloria Tornay Naranjo, 58.

But now a Spanish man has also been arrested after he broke into the property – and suspected murder scene – in Estepona, in an attempt to squat there.

CCTV at the address, in the Forrest Hills urbanization, captured the unnamed 32-year-old from Estepona breaking in, while wearing a hooded top.

He was only rumbled when Gloria’s brother entered the house and caught the man, which he then reported to the police.

The would-be squatter was apparently aware that one of the owners of the property had died, while the other remained in police custody.

The man was arrested on burglary charges and not robbery.

Gloria Tornay Naranjo died at the house on March 9 after she was stabbed 12 times in her back and chest.
