Tourist dies after being hit by bus in Benidorm

A TOURIST has been killed after a bus ploughed into her on a pavement in Benidorm.

The woman, of Portuguese nationality, was hit on Calle Ruzafa at 10:30 on Tuesday evening.

WHAT HAPPENED?: The bus crashed into the woman at 10:30 on Tuesday evening

The vehicle, for unknown reasons, crashed into the façade of a shop and killed the woman, described as between 25-30 years old, while she was accompanied at that time by a friend.

The bus also ruined a telephone booth.

The driver of the vehicle is ‘in shock’ and ‘unable to explain’ what happened, according to local press.

The bus was loaded with tourists headed to different hotels in the Costa Blanca destination.
