Woman arrested over three Costa del Sol wildfires RELEASED on €10,000 bail in Spain’s Marbella

A WOMAN arrested over a trio of wildfires in Marbella has been released on a €10,000 bail.

The 59-year-old Spaniard who has no criminal record is still being probed for an alleged forest crime.

She denies all charges after being cuffed on Monday while in possession of several lighters and ‘flammable material’.

BLAZE: One of three fires in the last fortnight, which saw a woman arrested

Police consulted two witnesses who both claimed they saw the woman in the affected areas when the fires broke out.

It comes after a fire on August 22 near the Bello Horizonte urbanization forced 40 homes to be evacuated.

A week later on August 29 another blaze broke out in Los Monteros, not far from the Hospital Costa del Sol, with a third reported on September 2.
