ANDALUCIA will experience a warmer than average autumn this year.

That’s according to weather agency AEMET, which predicted that from September 23, Spain’s southernmost region will enjoy an Indian summer.

In a press conference, experts said rain levels will remain normal and that between October and December, the temperatures will reach higher than the average for that time of year.

The forecast is for the whole region, including the Costa del Sol.

The news will be welcomed by residents in Malaga, who are forecast to receive a downpour today and tomorrow.

It comes after AEMET issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rains and storms.

The bad weather is expected to hit areas including the Costa del Sol and Antequera.

Rain is expected to fall from 8pm onwards.

Some areas could see 20 litres per square metre fall in just one hour.
