CHEATING: 10 is ‘totally acceptable’ while 0 is ‘totally unacceptable’

42% of Spaniards think it is acceptable for their partner to have sex with another person, with a further 21% considering it totally acceptable, according to the European Values Study 2019.

British people are the biggest prudes in Europe, with only 29% of them thinking it is acceptable for a partner to have sex with somebody else and a massive 46% of them considering it totally unacceptable.

Almost twice as many Spaniards (21%) think it is ‘totally acceptable’ for a partner to be unfaithful than Brits (11%).

1,500 people were surveyed in each of the five biggest EU countries as part of the study.
