FORGET the UK election that could decide our Brexit future on December 12.

People on the Rock are much more keen on the Miss World Pageant held in London just two days later.

A total of 112 women will be representing their countries at the 69th Miss World Pageant in the UK capital.

Among them will be Miss Gibraltar 2019, Celine Bolaños, who recently left Gibraltar to participate in the big event.

After the 2009 win of their very own Kaiane Aldorino, Gibraltar has always hoped to be able to crown a new Gibraltarian Miss World.

Bolanos, along with the other contestants, has a full schedule of activities, receptions, filming, touring the City and rehearsing for the Final.

Bolanos has already taken part in some of the fast track events which include the Top Model round, Talent round and the Sports Challenge.

She has been busy updating her journey on social Media including Miss Gibraltar Facebook, Miss World – Gibraltar Facebook, MobStar & Instagram.

The highlight of Celine’s trip will be the Miss World Final to be held on Saturday 14th December in the Excel Arena in London.

Unfair

However, this year’s Miss World was once again marred in controversy when Ukranian model Veronika Didusenko took the organisation to court.

She alleged that the entry requirements to the event are ‘discriminatory’ after she was stripped of the Miss Ukraine title when it was discovered she was a mum.

“I want to change them, challenge them. I want to make sure the rules of Miss World move with the times,” she tells BBC Radio 1.

“I want to make them more fit for nowadays and reflect women’s reality today – who can perfectly balance between their careers and their personal life.”
