A CHILD has been hospitalised with alcohol poisoning after being found unconscious near a railway line.
The 12-year-old boy is in a coma in a serious condition after a Saturday night drinking session in Murcia.
He was seen throwing up in Calle Orilla de la Via before passing out and being treated by medical staff.
Calls were made at 8:37pm on Saturday when the youth collapsed in the street that runs parallel to the railway.
The youngster was attended by Policia Local officers and two ambulances before being rushed to the Virgen de la Arrixaca University General Hospital.
He was transferred to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit where he remains comatose and in critical condition.
It is unclear if the boy had been drinking alone and what alcohol he had consumed.
