A happy ending for two dogs stuck in a ditch in Spain’s Murcia region

Double Doggy Rescue As Animals Get Stuck In A Ditch In Spain S Murcia Region

TWO Guardia Civil agents got their feet wet in the line of duty when they rescued two dogs trapped in an irrigation ditch at Orilla del Azarrbe in Murcia.

The agents from the Guardia’s environmental division Seprona acted on a call from passers-by that two German Shepherds were in distress and could not get out.

The dogs had escaped from a Monteagudo property by burrowing under the perimeter fence.

The animals were suffering from hypothermia and one of the dogs had a fractured hind leg.

Near-by workshops were called by the agents to get some extendable ladders to reach the dogs who were lifted out of the muddy water.

Both were micro-chipped enabling the Guardia to reunite the animals with their owners.
