Man confesses to killing in Spain’s Murcia after throwing body down a well

PSpanish police officer is arrested 'for groping a young woman's buttocks' at the Malaga feria

THE GUARDIA CIVIL have discovered the body of a man missing for nearly two months- dumped into a Jumilla well in the Murcia region.

Diakina Fofana- a 43-year-old Malian citizen- disappeared on September 2.

Around 300 people took part in a rally in Jumilla on October 6 calling for help to find him and ‘SOS missing’ posters featuring photos of Mr. Fofana were distributed in the area.

A suspect has been arrested who has confessed to killing the victim and who took officers to the dump site.

Mr. Fofana had lived in Jumilla for 16 years and his car was left parked on a street.

He vanished a few days after returning home from a visit to his home country of Mali.

An autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause of death and a formal identification will be carried out.

La Opinion de Murcia has reported that his death may have been down to a ‘settling of scores’.

He worked in Hellin in Albacete province and friends described him as ‘hardworking, without vices and a very good person’.
