They are now building their case and sources claim evidence is mounting against Ong – including a pair of Nike trainers which are being analysed by soil experts, and which could place him at the scene of the crime.

Cops are still working on the motive but sources told La Verdad de Murcia that it could be ‘financial’, adding that Audrey had some investments and had recently made a bank transfer to an unknown third party.

Ong, who was reportedly due to meet with his Ukrainian girlfriend on April 10, the day Audrey was found, appears to have spent years working in finance.

Ong describes himself as a ‘6ft2 Power Asian’ on Instagram, adding: “Loved by many. Feared by none. Cos I’m nice.”

His photos reveal he has been travelling to and from the Costa Blanca since at least 2022, as well as Barcelona.
