Watch: Hollywood star Will Smith shocks festival-goers at Madrid’s Mad Cool as he turns up to watch Dua Lipa

HOLLYWOOD royalty made an unexpected visit to Madrid on Wednesday, as actor and rapper Will Smith turned up at the first night of the Mad Cool festival, which will run until Saturday in the Spanish capital. 

Dressed in a black t-shirt and with shades to match, the star of the Bad Boys franchise blew kisses to stunned festival-goers, watching the concerts from one of the VIP areas, according to news agency Europa Press. 

As well as headliner Dua Lipa, Smith also watched the performances of Janelle Monae (with whom he was hanging out in the VIP section), Garbage, Nothing but Thieves and Tom Odell.

Smith, 55, was accompanied by friends and there was no sign of his wife, Jada Smith. 

The couple are rumoured to have split after 30 years together. 

Thanks to the attention he garnered from the crowd, Smith had to be ushered out of the festival by security guards, but stopped to take pictures and sign autographs with fans.
