A MAN has been arrested in Denia for allegedly robbing and attacking bathers at a local beach.
The 30-year-old Moroccan national was remanded into custody after appearing before a Denia court.
The incident happened at Playa Punta del Raset where he stole various items from two people who had gone for a swim.

The bathers spotted what happened and ran after the thief who they caught.
He then cheekily demanded money for the return of their items and threatened them with a sharp object before physically assaulting the beach goers.
A Policia Nacional beach patrol witnessed the commotion and noticed two people had suffered facial injuries.
The man was arrested for robbery with violence and assault.
