Marbella’s Golden Mile to get Armani makeover as Rafa Nadal joins forces with Italian luxury label to build 33 luxury villas

MARBELLA’s Golden Mile is preparing for an Armani makeover as Rafa Nadal has joined forces with the Italian luxury label to build a set of properties.

The project will see the designer label construct 33 homes that will be based on its aesthetic vision.

It will begin with the construction of 12 properties with beautiful views of the Sierra Blanca mountains.

They will sit inside a complex that will be developed on a plot of 50,000 square metres and include communal spaces, a spa, fully equipped gym, private club and 24 hour concierge service.

Work is set to begin next month with the first phase being completed by 2028.

Armani has stepped into the property sector in various places including Miami, London and Dubai. It had not, however, previously entered the Spanish market.

By choosing the Costa del Sol, Armani has confirmed the area as one of the most luxurious spaces in Europe.

It’s not only luxury that has drawn Nadal and Armani to Marbella, but also the active lifestyle that is seen across the city.

“We have a very clear objective: to create a project centred on promoting wellbeing and the value of sports as well as a style of Mediterranean life that inspires us all,” Nadal has stated.

This is not the first time that the former tennis star has got involved with the property sector with him having previously ventured into the area through hotel and investment projects.

Now his company, which he runs with Abel Matutes, will be working alongside Sierra Blanca Estates and Armani to construct these new homes on the Costa del Sol.
