The man was said to be a Moroccan national.

Several women pointed out the offender to the officers, who had been pestering and touching them when they were swimming.

The officers reportedly had no hesitation in getting into the water- clad in their uniforms- to make an arrest.

The suspect was carted away onto dry land for his arrest to be processed.

Many bathers witnessed what happened at one of Alicante’s busiest beaches.

No further information has been disclosed about the case.
