A YOUNG woman nearly choked to death after attempting to swallow a gold chain she had allegedly stolen in Marbella.
At around 5am on Sunday, a man reported being violently robbed in Puerto Deportivo, Diario Sur reported.
He told police that two young men, accompanied by a woman, had snatched his gold chain with a sudden tug before fleeing the scene.

Officers searching the area quickly found two 20-year-old Moroccan men who matched the victim’s description and arrested them, but there was no sign of the third suspect.
Three hours later, in what initially appeared to be an unrelated incident, police received a call reporting that a woman was lying semi-conscious in a hammock on Playa del Faro.
She was struggling to breathe and carried no identification. An ambulance took her to Hospital Costa del Sol.

Doctors were forced to perform emergency surgery after discovering an object lodged in her airway.
At around 10am, Policia Local received confirmation from the hospital: the woman had swallowed the stolen gold chain.
She has now recovered from surgery, and all three suspects are due to appear in court.
