PETROL prices are rising significantly again in Spain as the government phases out temporary tax cuts introduced in the wake of the Iran conflict.
Direct pump aid dropped to a 15-cent-per-litre discount in July, with further reductions scheduled for August and September.
There are no indications so far of the government halting or changing the phase out of tax cuts.

Filling up a tank in Spain could end up costing between €5 and €10 more.
Global oil costs hit 100 US Dollars for a barrel of Brent Crude last week due to renewed skirmishes between the U.S and Iran amidst continuing issues over access through the Strait of Hormuz.
The price has pegged back to just over 86 US Dollars a barrel as of Wednesday, after falling to a two-week low on Tuesday.
Some of those increases though have potentially yet to work their way through to pump prices in Spain.
At the moment, average rates are hovering around €1.66 per litre for Euro 95 petrol and €1.62 per litre for diesel.
Prices though still remain around 10% lower than the European Union average.
Shopping around will allow motorists to find prices below the current national averages, notably at low-cost self-service stations like Ballenoil.
There are also significant variations between different regions of the country.
