Hollywood star Russell Crowe, 62, shows off dramatic new physique while filming his latest movie in Spain’s Canary Islands

HOLLYWOOD star Russell Crowe has been spotted showing off a dramatic new physique while filming his latest movie in the Canary Islands.

The 62-year-old Australian actor is currently on location in Spain to shoot his newest cinematic project, The Last Druid.

He was pictured in a gym looking battle-ready alongside Scottish WWE wrestler Drew McIntyre, who shared the photograph with his fans on social media.

Crowe is returning to the epic historical genre that made him an international superstar in Gladiator more than 25 years ago.

His new action role is set during the Roman Empire and follows an elderly Celtic man who must protect his family and his people.

His peaceful life is shattered when a Roman emperor discovers a hidden community of druids living in the mountains of Caledonia.

Production for the film is currently split between sets in the Canary Islands and Barcelona.

The cast has recently expanded to include McIntyre, Stacy Clausen, Pablo Derqui and Tennyson Crowe, although the Scottish wrestler’s specific role remains a closely guarded secret.

The heavyweight pair are also scheduled to appear together in an upcoming adaptation of Highlander.

The Last Druid does not yet have an official release date.
