A BRITISH tourist who disappeared in Benidorm after a night out with friends at a famous local pub has been found ‘safe and sound’, his family have said.
Relatives and friends of Paul Cartwright, 39, had said they were ‘extremely concerned’ for his wellbeing after he missed his flight home on Monday from the Spanish holiday hotspot.
The holidaymaker, from Greater Manchester, was last seen early on Sunday after becoming separated from his group of friends near Chaplin’s Bar.

In an update posted on Facebook this afternoon, his mother Eileen Jones said: “Thank you to everyone for your help and concern. Paul is home, safe and sound.”
Eileen and Paul’s wife, Sara, had booked a flight to Spain to speak with local authorities and launch a search party.
In an earlier appeal, the pair said Paul would be easy to recognise as he has ‘half an ear missing’.
