A 43-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested for stealing items from guests who were having breakfast in various Benidorm hotels.
The Policia Nacional says the man- of undisclosed nationality- committed 15 counts of theft in different hotels across the city.
He walked nonchalantly into dining areas at breakfast time and waited for customers to get up from their tables to go to the buffet.

The sneaky thief then pounced on bags, phones, and wallets they had left unguarded.
The police acted after receiving a series of complaints from various Benidorm hotels that seemed very similar.
Victims said they had left their belongings hanging on the back of the chairs while they were having breakfast.
When they went to the buffet for just a few moments, they returned to their table to find personal belongings missing.
According to the Policia Nacional, the thief monitored possible targets from the outside area of dining rooms and selected his victims.
He then went inside and waited for his target to to help themselves to some breakfast before making his move.
The thief even used an item of clothing to cover any bags he stole and then leave the dining room without attracting suspicion.
Investigators managed to identify the robber and launched an operation to locate and arrest him in Benidorm.
The Policia Nacional have reminded people to always bags, wallets, and mobile phones in sight within crowded areas.
They also recommend not to leave belongings hanging on the back of a chair or out of sight, especially in businesses with a high volume of people.
