A MAN has been arrested for killing his wife inside a shoe repair store located within the Carrefour Infante hypermarket in Murcia City.
The 44-year-old victim- named as Gloria- had her throat slit by a knife.
The husband was later detained by the Guardia Civil in Puerto Lumbreras before he could flee to Granada.

The man was reported in the media as Juan Bautista GC- aged around 40 years.
Workers at the centre told the La Verdad newspaper that the couple were in the process of going through a divorce.
Murcia’s mayor, Rebeca Perez, said: “We join in the pain of the family and of the people who today mourn a life taken away in the most brutal way.”
“No, no and always no to violence. Not one more,” Perez added.
Juan Bautista was convicted in April of domestic abuse after pushing his wife to the ground during an argument over the custody of their five-year-old daughter.
The victim at the time told police that it was not the first time that she had been assaulted by her partner.
A plea bargain agreement by Juan Bautista included a distancing order and ban on all forms of communication with his wife.
Following Gloria’s death, the young girl’s grandmother has assumed custody.
The fatal assault happened on Wednesday afternoon inside a shoe repair and key shop, where Juan Baustita worked.
After the knife attack, he moved Gloria’s body to behind the counter, before leaving and locking up the premises.
She was discovered at 5.25pm by a shop employee on a late shift.
The Policia Nacional and health staff attended the scene but could only certify her death.
Nobody at surrounding businesses or adjacent Carrefour check-out staff heard any untoward noises from the unit, but a few did see Juan Bautista depart.
