AN urgent appeal has been launched to find a 73-year-old Swiss tourist who has been missing in Estepona for almost a week.

Petar Ilic was last seen at around 6pm on Sunday, October 4, on calle Dunas de Casasola, near the Por Fin chiringuito.

He had been travelling around the Costa del Sol with a tour group and was staying at the Hotel Ona Diana Park on calle Nueva Atalaya.

That evening he left the group at the beach bar to walk back to the hotel alone, but he never arrived.

He does not have a mobile phone with him, so there is no way to contact him. He does not speak Spanish and can only communicate in Italian and German, which may make it hard for him to ask for help.

Members of his tour group searched for him through the night without success. Checks at hospitals, medical centres and care homes have also found no trace of him.
