Oscars on the Costas

A CRACKPOT plan has been launched to hold the Oscars in Malaga.

The president of Reserva Hotels thinks they should be held away from Los Angeles every four years.

Javier Checa proposed Malaga at a gala dinner in Dubai.

Checa, who has the backing of Ana Banderas, the mother of the Málaga actor, will take his idea to the Oscars Academy next month.
